What does therapy involve?
Good therapy begins with a deep exploration of the things you are wanting to change. This means we start by exploring many facets of your past in order to understand your present.
Once we have a thorough understanding of how your past is informing your present, we will work together to set goals to address the things you are wanting to change. These goals will be the guideposts for how we move forward in therapy.
Throughout the journey I will check in with you on several vital aspects of therapy; connection, trust, safety, and understanding.

The modalities I use in my work are varied and will be tailored to your specific needs. I typically utilise Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and offer this to all patients who may find benefit from it. I am able to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) also.

My practice is predominantly based online via telehealth, however please reach out if you are interested in face-to-face sessions, as we may be able to arrange something.
